STUDENT WELFARE OFFICER |
The Students’ Welfare Officer-Sri N.S.Satish, Department of Kannada is responsible for taking care of all student related concerns. Free, individual counselling is provided to students burdened with academic and personal problems by the Officer. He is also in charge of recognising students from economically backward backgrounds and realising funds to aid them from the College Trust Fund. |

MENTORSHIP PROGRAMMES |
Each class is assigned a faculty member as its mentor. A record is maintained by the mentor of the academic performance of the students as well as of their behavioral aspects. Necessary assistance is provided by the mentor with the aim of bringing about overall development of each student. |

STUDENTS’ GRIEVANCE CELL |
OBJECTIVES:
- To provide a forum for students to express their genuine grievances /problems/suggestions freely and frankly without any fear of being victimized. The grievances could include academic, administrative, infrastructural and interpersonal issues.
- To promote cordial student-student, student-teacher relationships by helping to smoothen out areas of conflict.
- To use teachers as a bridge between the student community and the administrative authorities.
COMPOSITION:
The Grievance Redressal Cell will be looked after by a committee of 4 faculty members, including the Students Welfare Officer. The committee will include a minimum of 2 lady staff members.
MECHANISMS OF COMPLAINTS/SUGGESTIONS
- Suggestion Boxes placed at strategic locations.
- Direct interaction with the Students’ Welfare Officer and other members in the Grievance Cell between 12.00 noon to 1.00 p.m. every working day.
MECHANISMS OF REDRESSAL
- The Suggestion Box will be opened once a month by the committee who will discuss the grievance/suggestion and possible solutions and actions to be taken. If necessary, the grievance will be brought to the notice of the Principal for required action. Complaints involving sexual; harassment of any kind will be brought to the notice of “Ankura”- (forum for Women) if necessary. Personal problems requiring counseling will be referred to the counseling centre.
- Grievances/suggestions brought directly to the Students Welfare Officer will be discussed and necessary action taken without undue delay.
